Let me add another design question. Ideally the image map would be the only thing a visitor sees initially, save for some tabs on the browser window sides which unfold to provide the main menu, side bar, search box, etc. Tiddlers would appear centred on top of the image map, opened either from those fold-outs or from the image map itself. No header.
