Hi, I am using both methods, depending on the purpose; direct link gives you fast access to a file, whereas http://www.tiddlytools.com/#ShowLocalDirectory links you to a specific folder and takes the pain out of browsing in conventional platform browsers. I recommend combining these two methods.
