Hello Tobias - and thanks for your suggestions, I have just tried with a few different themed empty tiddlywiki's ( i am useing the "monochrome" theme); unfortunately the same thing happens with them all so far. Nothing i have been fiddling with has changed - the way everything disappears when i save the tiddlywiki.
If anything works i will of course post it here. I am afraid i will not be online till the weekend again so please forgive me for not answering any new posts till this time next week.
