The code is quite trivial and has been added to the 
http://newtimeline.tiddlyspace.com
space
The plugin is here:

This change allows you to use <<view ::slice text>>, <<view ##section
wikified>> etc etc..

I'd appreciate any feedback especially if this has any side effects.
