Hey Keith, A) What I've done for http://tbgtd.tiddlyspot.com/, I have modified {{TabTimeline}} so that it only shows a given number of recent tiddlers and not all of them.
B) You can also modify SideBarTabs by either reordering the tabs and make tags first or by creating a new first tab which, for example, provides you with access to most common tools you use.
