Hi Mario, Performance is an open issue / a black box at the moment.
You are perfectly right and I have noticed that myself that the way excludes are implemented is not very performant I guess, I will use the hijack for saveTiddler in order to update a global excludeForLinkify array, so that this is only rebuilt upon saving a tiddler.
