Does it really surprise you? Things change when you have a *1st quarter* revenue of $14 billion and net income of $3.35 billion.
While I am unhappy about their (IMHO) invasive data collection they still provide a heck of a lot of FREE services offering real value to the general public and developers in particular. Google is also a primary technology driver in web development, A/V development, actually open standards, cloud storage, even these lists that are so important to our software development. Say what you will about control over Android, that is possibly the main reason it has not fragmented into hundreds of 'distros' and stalled in the marketplace. We have come to expect that Android applications 'just work' no matter what phone or tablet we use and a very high percentage of the time they do. I am not an apologist for Google (and neither do I or any of my relatives work for them ;-) but ... has M$oft done as much?? ~GeoD -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
