I had a similar issue some weeks ago (5th of august). I created a TW5 at my office, in French (so with some é, è, ê, î, à, ...), then copied it on a USB key to copy it at home : all accented characters had been replaced by a black diamond-shaped character.
I retried on the 22th of october with a newly empty.html file and didn't get the issue, but I transfered the file by mail draft instead of USB key.
