Hi Marcus

I'm sorry you've been having a poor experience with TiddlyWiki.

As you've found, TiddlyFox only provides support for saving changes to the
wiki, and doesn't provide a general purpose file API; that's what stops
things like the snapshot/saveas plugins from working. However, TiddlyFox is
pretty future proof (it even works under Firefox for Android), so the
prospects are good for its long term use.

TiddlyWiki is under more active development than ever, though, in the form
of TiddlyWiki5. It gives you much more flexibility: as well as running in
the browser, you can run it as a local server, and therefore work with any
browser. It's not fully backwards compatible, though, so you'd have to do
some massaging to move existing content over.

Best wishes

Jeremy.
