Hi everyone,

On GitHub I have mentioned features and fixes I would like to see for the
core of TW5. And there are three or four things on the Roadmap tiddler at
tiddlywiki.com that I really, really want. But beyond that, here are a few
things I would really love to see as plugins for TW5. Thought I would share
them with you.

Before mentioning them, though, I should take a moment to thank those who
have already created some great plugins for TW5. I know Ton and Stephan
have created several, Danielo has been experimenting, too, and today to my
delight I discovered Martin's timeline. Wow. Thanks to all of you.

Okay, so here is my list.

1. Newhere - the ability to click a button to create a new tiddler tagged
with the title of the source tiddler. Use cases: many. Image galleries.
Hierarchies of notes. Etc.

2. A search plugin that lets you decide whether to search by title, tag,
text, or a combination of them. Use cases: many. Most of the time I know
what tiddler I am looking for, but searching a TW5 with a lot of tiddlers
means that the current search mechanism doesn't filter enough to get me to
it quickly. It is way down the list of search results.

3. A version of ListFiltrPlugin for TW5. See the classic version at
http://listfiltr.tiddlyspace.com/#ListFiltrPlugin. I would really like to
be able to create a custom list and have a way to search titles to narrow
the list down. Use case: I would create an index of All tiddlers plus
Missing tiddlers that I could search. That way I could create a glossary,
an index, etc, by creating hyperlinks only within certain tiddlers, then
have a master list of all the terms, and use that to mark progress on
adding content to the terms. I would also use it like I use ListFiltrPlugin
in Braintags (http://www.giffmex.org/braintags.html)

4. A plugin that would enable me to create tables rthat allow CSS
formatting by cell, by column, etc. There was talk on a hangout long ago
about changing the TW core table formatting. Perhaps a plugin would be a
better route. I don't know. Use case: I use tables with color coding for
different types of information. Also, the kind of formatting we were
talking about on the Hangout would simply make cell content easier to go
back and edit later, since each cell would have its own line.

5. D3 plugins will be cool and welcomed with glee by me, especially
Collapsible Tree Layout and/or some kind of forced layout for something
like mindmaps. But those are lesser interests of mine.

6. Masonry display of image tiddlers would also really be cool. Usecase:
use TW5 like Pinterest or Flickr, to collect images or show off your own
galleries.

7. Facebook and Twitter to share or 'like' a specific tiddler. There is
talk of this for the core. I think it makes more sense as a plugin. But the
tiddler URL feature needs to get done first before this would work. Use
case: TW5 as blog.

So, there is my plugin wishlist. What is yours? I would love it if you
would comment on things you'd like to see, and/or if you would say +1 to
any of the items I have mentioned, if you concur.

Blessings, Dave
