Hi Devin

concepts used that make TW stand out.

I have gradually evolved an approach to explaining TiddlyWiki to
non-specialist audiences. For example, this meeting of the Oxford
TiddlyWiki Interest Group starts with a lengthy introduction from me
showing the basics of TiddlyWiki:

If I'm talking to people in the field, I can be much bolder: TiddlyWiki is
an attempt to synthesise an open, decentralised, federated document
ecosystem to succeed the old Microsoft office-style world of proprietary
simulated paper. When I put it like that you can kind of see why it might
be conceptually challenging for people intellectually invested in the
current way of doing things :)

doesn't seem correct unless you're editing the document(s) distributed
through a server like Wikipedia. I tried to tote on the modular idea of
downloading a single page app the is offline. His reply is that you should
not download an offline version as it would become out of sync and you
would have several wrong versions all over the office each with their own
changes and customization.

I've come across similar reactions before. Funny how people can be made
uncomfortable by the features that seem to me most liberating and exciting
about TiddlyWiki.

Best wishes

Jeremy
