Hi Xavier,

I solved the problem at least for my set up by simply adding one line to my 
vhost file:

<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerName domain.tld
*AllowEncodedSlashes on*

<Proxy *>
......
</Proxy>
</VirtualHost>

It seems that not the special characters like $ had to be escaped but the 
slashes.
