Hi Jon, Just to add that I think it should be possible to achieve what you want but it's non-trivial (certainly for me). What we would need to do (i think) is add widget-messages around the links which open the tiddlers in your wiki so that opening one hides the sidebar and opening the table-tiddler additionally opens the sidebar.
Matabele has been experimenting with stacking widgets around buttons http://gwiz.tiddlyspot.com/#Widgets%20for%20Buttons:%5B%5BWidgets%20for%20Buttons%5D%5D and something similar should be possible. Sorry if this isn't much help. I guess what I'm trying to say is that we should be able to do it when we have understood more.
