Iannis, what I am doing with the read-only theme is editing the file on my desktop, copying the file, editing the new file (which would be my* index.html* file) to disable what I don't want shown to the world. I can then upload the file to my site.
Tom, I edited the* $:/plugins/tongerner/ro/publish* tiddler to allow access to the Control Panel by changing "Disable in Control Panel" to "Disable in [[$:/ControlPanel]]", allowing me to access the Control Panel to enable the buttons I need in order to edit. I plan to create a tiddler to point to the* $:/plugins/tongerner/ro/publish* tiddler, using an obscure name for the tiddler. For the sake of security, I am not going to say what the title will be, as this group is visible to anyone. I am hoping this little trick will help others trying to do as Iannis is asking about. I do have a question though. Will disabling the "double chevron right" sidebar button affect display of the icon elsewhere? I plan to use the icon at the bottom of certain tiddlers, to open the next tiddler in a series.
