I have updated the authoring tool. It should be ready to be used, there is probably a lot of content that can be added that I will work on as I get around to it, but it will only be things like allowing variable length combination locks and similar small changes.
I also changed the demo game it starts with so that it is built with the editor and can be used as an example of how to make events work. The three problems I mentioned in the original post are still problems, but I haven't come up with any way to get around them (I still need to look into taskgraph) so I am not expecting any solutions anytime soon. I have added some more documentation that you can access through the editing screen. If anyone actually uses this let me know, it is a fun project to play around with but if no one is going to use it than I probably won't do much more with it.
