Yes, I knew before, just didn't think about the implications when using 
*[img[]]*... perhaps there may be some mentioning (in that tiddler) about 
how the differences affect using widgets.

Have you tried <$image source={{!!img}}/>?

Not yet used the $image widget yet, will see how I can make use of it in 
linkimg.
