So with *[img[]]* vs. *<**$image/>* it's a bit like with *<<macro>>* vs. 
*<$macrocall/>*...
widgets can always evaluate parameters via standard html attributes in ways 
the shorthand syntax cannot.

Correct?

It seems like it's a good practice to always start templates and macros 
with widgets
and only, if possible, to resort to using any simplified markup.
