I am going to be arrogant enough to think that you are including my site in the tips and tricks wikis. I had never really thought about if these settings would be useful so I never bothered. This is actually the first feedback like this I have gotten about the usability of the site aside from a comment from Tobias in the dev group this morning. I have updated <a href='http://inmyinmysocks.tiddlyspot.com>my site</a> so it updates the url with to point to the most recent tiddler and made the permalink and permaview buttons visible by default. If you have other feedback about how the site would be easier to use please speak up, I have been going be what works for me and no one has complained so far, but no one has said what works either.
