Apologies if this question has already been asked. I did a few searches
through the archives and found one post from 2008 that looked similar, but
it didn't completely achieve what I was after.

I use Perforce, Jira, Bugzilla and a whole number of other tools loads,..
all of which have reference numbers for changelists (Perforce), or ticket
numbers etc (Jira, Bugzilla).

I reference these various IDs in my Tiddlers, and am manually making them
all hyperlinks to the various web interfaces respectively. For example:
[[CL19388|http://perforce.domain.com/view_changelist.cgi?cl=19388]]

I'd love to be able to just write the bare word CL19388 and have TW5
recognise that it looks like a Perforce changelist number, and generate the
hyperlink for me.

After a little searching around, I found that I could probably achieve what
I want with <<changelist 19388>> style templates, but I'd much rather go
the whole hog and do whatever it takes to make TW5 automatically recognise
CL12345 or BUG12345 or JIRA12345 etc.

I'm can write Javascript, so if it requires writing a plugin, that's
fine,.. but when it comes to how to do this with TW5 I have to confess I'm
a little daunted and don't really know where best to start.

Would love some pointers or guidance on how best to achieve this goal.
