I've updated it to be a bit less subtle; I'm not sure that it's a great
improvement.

Interesting. I've also found that some bitmaps with narrow lines can
produce a strange Moiré pattern when scrolling on high definition displays.
What device are you using? Is the updated version better or worse?

Whoops, my mistake, somehow the vars widget didn't make it into the release
notes.
