Hi Jed I'm not abandoning the idea -- simply experimenting to see what can be done with filters -- the filters work well for many of the commonly encountered simple usage cases. The code is short (have a look at the widget on the demo wiki) -- the final widget could easily include your list operations for the manipulation of arbitrary lists. I have spent some time trying to work out a scheme to simplify the number of attributes needed for your list operations -- no luck yet :-(
