Hello,
I am excited to announce the opening of {{DesignWrite}}, a learning
community focused using TiddlyWiki to explore hypertext and
hypertextuality.
The learning community will engage at least two types of participants:
those choosing to join a "small online open course," and those enrolled in
"Designing and Writing Interactive Texts," credit-bearing courses offered
by the SUNY Polytechnic Institute. In addition, those from the TiddlyWiki
community world-wide are invited to join and participate in the Community.
{{DesignWrite}} is distributed through several spaces:
* A TiddlyWiki: http://bit.do/designwrite
* A Google Group: http://bit.do/designwritegooglegroup
* A YouTube Channel: http://bit.do/designwriteyoutube
{{DesignWrite}} will include three primary activities:
* Conversations About Hypertextuality: Jeremy Ruston has agreed to co-host
live streamed weekly conversations about hypertext & tiddlywiki. All are
invited to join the Conversations on Wednesdays at 10am EST / 3pm GMT (convert
to other time zones
<http://www.thetimezoneconverter.com/?t=10am&tz=New%20York&>), which will
be recorded and available on the YouTube channel.
* Exercises in Hypertextuality: The TiddlyWiki and the Google Group will
distribute and support a variety of exercises, starting with introductory
level and moving toward more developed applications of the techniques of
hypertext. Participants in the Community will share their work through
links of their TiddlyWikis posted in the Google Group, which will then
house commentary, critique and discussion.
* Workshops in TiddyWiki: Live streamed workshops fielding questions and
comments from participants will be conducted on Mondays at 7pm EST (convert
to other time zones)
<http://www.thetimezoneconverter.com/?t=7pm&tz=New%20York&>, which will be
recorded and available on the YouTube channel.
So: an invitation to those interested in engaging with new (and soon to be
enthusiastic!) users of TiddlyWiki -- please consider visiting the
TiddlyWiki, joining the Google Group, and watching the YouTube channel!
Thoughts and comments also welcome here....
