Hello folks, I am posting to this group with a new identity, and an exciting and I hope interesting proposal.
My identity is tied to a "learning community" that I've developed, and that opens today. The Community is hosted in a TiddlyWiki, of course: http://bit.do/designwrite. It also features a Google Group ( https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!forum/designwrite) and a YouTube channel (http://bit.do/designwriteyoutube). An exciting project of the Community will be the production of a series of "Conversations about Hypertext." Jeremy Ruston has agreed to co-host live streamed weekly discussions about hypertext & tiddlywiki. All are invited to join the Conversations on Wednesdays at 10am EST / 3pm GMT (convert to other time zones <http://www.thetimezoneconverter.com/?t=10am&tz=New%20York&;>), which will be recorded and available on YouTube. Community members for the next 15 weeks will include about 15 graduate students and 8 undergrads from SUNY Poly, enrolled in credit-bearing courses. Those students (and others, who choose to follow the curriculum) will have a series of exercises and projects to complete in their courses. The plan is to use the Google Group to provide support and discussion of these projects during the next 15 weeks.
