Hi Jeremy, I was wondering if it might be better to alter the action of the buttons slightly so the inserted items are not highlighted.
For example to bold text, you would need to first select the text and then press B. But if the '''' is inserted with the cursor flashing in the middle, you could press B and then continue typing in bold - it just means you don't need the additional action of selecting the text first. (This is the current behaviour of Danielo's keyboard shortcuts).
