Hi Adrian,
I would like to reproduce this problem and need some info -
what version of tiddlywiki is this? (the version is displayed in the info 
tab of the control panel - got to by click the 'cog' icon on the right - or 
alternatively place <<version>> in a tiddler) 
what browser (and version) are you usings
where did you get the markdown plugin from?
