Hello, I am in the process of creating an Android app for NoteSelf. At the current stage it does not offer much advantages over the web app, except for:
- It appears on your apps box - It appears on the share with menu for text snippets. This is incredible powerful for collecting links ( webpages, youtube videos) and text snippets from other apps. - It has it's own memory space, not the one the browser provides - Should not be affected by you clearing the browser history, cookies or storage - You can see how much space it is taking on the android apps menu Some of the *planned* features are (in order of expected implementation) - QR code scanning. This can be triggered by any widget and will produce regular tw events - Better login flow and cookie caching. Currently you have to actively login every time you open the app - Calendar integration. You will be able to schedule events on the device calendar - Notification support. You will be able to schedule notifications via regular tw messages - Ability to share tiddlers via the regular android share menu: send tiddlers by email, twitter, facebook.... - Native association with `.tid` files (not sure if I will achieve this) The requirements are* android 5.1 or higher.* I've been using this for more than a week for my personal wiki and it is incredible convenient, even with all the current limitations. Any people interested on trying it out, please post a message on this thread. When there is enough people I will publish the app here. I want to emphasize this is just an open BETA.
