You can disable the word counter in the settings of the EditorCounter plugin. (Or you can start your text with another character, I think the word counter dislikes [ and < … I think I fixed the problem Jed mentioned, for character counting. But the word counter still has a bug. Glad to see that you want to try so many things I made!
