Back in the early days of font rendering (i.e., 1984, when the original 
128K Macintosh with 9" monochrome screen was shipped), we had two other 
acronyms:

WYSLPG = "Whistle Pig" (What You See Looks Pretty Good)

and the less friendly

WYGIWYD = "Wiggy Wid" (What You Get Is What You Deserve)
