Solution to what? I think in some use cases a UUID field would have great utility. The discussion is a bit confused between an attempt to change some thing rudimentary (forget it) and supporting a structured logic for a work-around that could make TW more like a Database (i.e. with unique record numbers ) I think the point is not that TW in any way at centre needs UUIDs. Rather that---as an extension---a UUID field could be the HUB of a work-around for SOME cases. IMO the issue is not what is in the core. Rather about some standardization around getting it to behave a bit more like a standard database through extension ... IF you need that. UUIDs are the easiest way to that IMO.
