Mark, Totally agree with your approach,
https://tiddlywiki.com/prerelease/ is currently doing this with a ? icon in the page toolbar. This could also be listed somewhere in more or tools sidebars tabs so it can be found again if suppressed. It should be minimal but lead back to the source and support at tiddlywiki.com.
