This is a frequent topic of discussion and I hope we can improve things. It’s worth pointing out that, though, that fixing this isn’t just a matter of spinning up a Heroku instance with a copy of Discourse. We need community infrastructure that is reliable, available, regularly backed up, properly maintained, handles our 13 year archive and has the means to deal with spam and abuse. None of that is impossible, but it’s way more work than just picking a piece of software and installing it somewhere….
