I want to echo others' sentiments here that the search / create function is a really handy feature.
Having the sidebar be a hover when the tiddlers are expanded is super nice too. I do agree it would be nice if you or someone would tease out the search / function as a plugin and host it at a specific location so I can link to it from the TiddlyWiki toolmap.
