This Stackexchange post actually addresses the issue, dropbox aside:

So the bottom line seems to be:

1. For a single file _local_ Tiddlywiki --> use relative paths
2. For Node.js version --> copy into tiddlers folder, restart server, 
transclude
3. Use a macro plugin as described in this very group:

(untested)
4. For Dropbox...
