Mark, What is your idea for confirmation alert? The TW widgets has no parameter to check this. I noted the tm-delete-tiddler has this abbility.
One way is to write a macro to check the existence of any newly created tiddler. As you see working on tittle actually create new tiddler with requested name and delete the old . one.
