Roland, I know how you feel changing from TWC to TW5 but I can assure you from my own experience this feeling passes. TW5 is much more feature rich in the User Interface customisation as built, that is without installing plugins, however there are plugins that present whole new ways at looking at tiddlers, there is much more customisation and perhaps 30% of TWC plugins have equivalents in the core now.
If you want help in this transition pick a use case from your existing TWC and ask the community how they would do it in TW5.
