My last post may be almost completely wrong. It is one way that you could 
handle the problem but I think that your example is not far from working. 
One problem you have is you are mixing a javascript macro with a widget, 
the two are different and having pieces of both is causing trouble.

I will look at this for a bit longer and I may have something to help a 
little at least.
