Hi, With the current filter syntax, imo it's not needed to create "hidden tags" ... If you need a filter option you can use a "tag-like" field with the contains operator.
Those fields are "not system tags" they are "no tiddlers". ... imo problem solved. You may know, that I'm _no_ fan of "hidden information". I think, if it is hidden, it shouldn't be there at all! If you need a ViewTemplate element, that doesn't show system tags, rename and disable $:/core/ui/ViewTemplate/tags tiddler.
