Looks cool, but I tried adding new tiddlers and they did not show up
on the graph. can you enlighten me?

This is very similar to what I've been working on so I'm sure we can
learn lots from each other.... I can certainly share my learnings on
ways of getting it to work in IE without explorer canvas and with
better performance (please see my post about GeoTiddlyWiki which uses
canvas or my own version of IE rendering using vml to render lots of
objects.

I'd also be interested in the algorithm you are using to layout your
nodes - has it got a name and did you write it yourself or get it from
somewhere?
