I think we've all tripped over this issue at some point.

Install instructions would help, as would some nice "micro-copy" in
TiddlyWiki itself:

But what would be nice is if we could make File->Save work as
expected. This may be possible with some of the new features arriving
in HTML 5, though might not be easily grafted into the current
TiddlyWiki in a backwards compatible way, but is something we should
explore ..
