Of course it will be good form to choose a syntax that allows good

Are you talking about the linking syntax in TW5? At the moment it's
the same as tw2 (with plans for the TiddlySpace extensions), but I'm
open to suggestions for improvements.
The syntax of indicating a link isn't really what I'm remarking on
there. More the awareness (in the rendering engine) of there being a
domain (recipe/bag) in which tiddlers can link to one another.
For example in tiddyspace, now, it is easy to link between tiddlers if
they are in tiddlywiki(2) text. That's "built in" with the various
renderers that can handle that type.[1]
The markdown renderer, however, had to be modified to be able to allow
links between tiddlers and it is flaky.[1]
What I'm saying with that "of course" statement can be translated as
"if you want your space to be a wiki, you'll likely want to choose one
syntax, and one that does wiki linking". Waving my flag basically.
[1] One of the reasons for tw5ikifier over twikifier is that the newer
one provided much more robust classing of the HTML for doing styling
based on whether linked-to tiddler exists and such.
