Firstly thanks a lot for this extension!

To remove the dialogue box, I just tried out the following:
*cloned the github repo in my pc
*in content <https://github.com/TiddlyWiki/TiddlyFox/tree/master/content> / 
*overlay.js *commented*-*out* *the lines 25 and 28
*repacked and installed xpi

it seems to be working!
