I get that I can import a plugin by dragging and dropping between instances
of TW5 but how do you get a plugin loaded from a file? So far the only way
I've managed to do it is by setting up the plugin in an "edtion" in a
tiddlywiki.info file and re-building TW5 from source?

I've tried using the built-in import feature but it doesn't seem to
actually load the plugin file as a plugin. It actually is not clear to me
that the code even calls into the right place to load a plugin from an
external file so maybe I shouldn't expect it to work.

I've tried both my own custom plugin file and I've tried the example in the
"PluginMechanism" topic. I've tried with .html and .json file extensions.
html ones give an error about raw widgets and the json ones seem to be
silently ignored. So far the only thing that sort of works is a raw .js
file and not a plugin in JSON format (as described in PluginMechanism). Of
course the .js format doesn't allow me to set the plugin fields, etc...
that are needed.

Am I missing something or is it not possible to load an external plugin
without rebuilding TW5 from source?

Since Drag/Drop is totally broken in IE (and I'm working on an IE save
extension), being able to load plugins, etc.. would be helpful.

thanks,
david
