Joerg I have a feeling you are on exactly the correct track. I was trying to walk, save to server before running to Node.js. Making a single HTML file is really easy in general. Node.js might be just as easy but I was trying to avoid that before getting something else working.
So Node.js it is and I will let you know how I make out getting it working on my Raspberry Pi. Once it is working I will let you know how I make out using Node.js activate a script. I am thinking that in the end Node.js will activate a python script as the Python programming language is the primary programming language they are teaching on the Pi. So there are the most resources for Python on the Pi. Thanks everyone if anyone else has any other info let me know. I also found a really old(from April 2014) thread on the TiddlyWiki Group about using the BidiX PHP script on a server and it dead ends. I posted there to see if they ever figured it out. I guess there is a great question, how do you 'save' a TW on a server? I can easily FTP it up but I am talking about saving on a server which seems fairly 'normal' activity.
