I think PMario is *correct* to HARD-CODE the Extended WikiText invoke glyphs because you *need* a set point so that IF a user installed the tools the characters would be invariant even when you used the tool for very complex machinations. What I suggested earlier was to expand the total number of glyphs slightly (to 6-8) so that variant types of specialist users can choose markup glyphs that never conflict with their fields of interest.
