As some of you know, Julie Todaro suggested last spring that the TIF stakeholders set 
up a web site to publicize what TIF has done.

It's taken a lot longer to organize than we'd hoped, but TLA stepped up and hired a 
web designer last week and he already has the prototype up.

So far, the only working feature is the clickable map which links to the grants to 
each county.  (The central Texas counties do not seem to be linked yet.)  The rest of 
the site should be functional by the Texas Municipal League conference in mid-October 
(TML has made TIF renewal one of their legislative priorities).

Eventually, we will link individual grants to stories and pictures so visitors can 
click on that grant and see what it provided.  TLA is working with other associations 
to encourage the widest possible participation by TIF constituents in providing 
success stories to link to grants.

The site is not quite ready for prime time, but take a look at the grants in your area 
and I think you'll be surprised at all that TIF has done:
