Agreed, but I don't think it's possible right now. It's on my todo list
for post-1.0.0.

I have similar plans, it is crucial part of full IPv6 support. For now
I opened feature request (#2743980, Unified build environment) and we
will discuss proper solution during 1.1.0 development phase.

I agree. Fixing so that WinVNC can be built with MinGW is actually on my todo list as well :-)

But since we don't have it now, my questions about build environment selection and who will build the binaries remains. I can always make a try, but I'm a little bit short of time this week.
