That fixed the problem.  Note also that it fixed the original problem as
well, which was that vncserver didn't work with the auto-generated font
path.  Once xorg-x11-fonts-misc is installed, then the necessary "fixed"
font exists in /usr/share/X11/fonts/misc, which is one of the
directories that vncserver already knew how to handle.

In short, the existing version of vncserver, as currently checked into
vncserver, has always worked with Fedora 11, provided that the
xorg-x11-fonts-misc package was installed.  However, I added one small
patch to it that causes it to use catalogue:/etc/X11/fontpath.d as the
initial font path if /etc/X11/fontpath.d exists.  This eliminates the
initial warning message.
