I've never been a big fan of magically getting different results
depending on what things you happen to have installed on your system,
so I'd rather fix autotools as well in that case. I should be able to
tell what kind of result I get based on how I invoke cmake/configure.

I have no objections to having GnuTLS enabled by default though,
although it might get annoying on platforms where it's generally not
available.
