You have to get the development version from SVN and build it from source. You no longer need to apply that patch, because it has already been checked in to SVN. When you fetch the latest sources from SVN, you'll be getting the patched version automatically. You need to check out https://tigervnc.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/tigervnc/trunk And then build it following the instructions in unix/README. Unfortunately, if you've never built a program from source before, TigerVNC is a difficult one to start with. The build process is fairly complex. Good luck.
