My fvwm configuration is old and full of crud.  I just moved
it aside and restarted fvwm with the default configuration.
No beeps from vncviewer, but then again nothing beeps, not
even ^G.

I used to rmmod pcspkr and/or blacklist it for good measure,
but I looked around and don't seem to be doing that anymore.
Maybe my machines don't have the pc speaker anymore.
